Anne Scott, “Jewelry Just Faux Fun”

January 16, 2020

For our first speaker of the new year, we are excited to welcome another talented GCA member, Anne Scott. One of the brightest stars in our Botanical Arts firmament and winner of the 2018 Botanical Arts Creativity Award, Anne will entertain us with descriptions of Botanical Jewelry competitions, The Philadelphia Flower Show, and how she became an award winner with her many creative entries. In showing us some of her exquisite designs, Anne will de-mystify the mechanics of creating botanical jewelry and inspire us to give it a try!

Despite her many awards in Botanical Arts, including Best in Show in 2014 and 2015, Anne’s training is in the law. She has twenty years of public service experience under her belt, first as a judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois and then as an elected local government official in the state of Florida.

Anne is a member of three garden clubs, mother to seven and grandmother to nine. Anne was married to the late Stuart L. Scott for 37 years and resides in Hobe Sound, Florida and Lake Bluff, Illinois.
